Sectoral Distribution of Gross Domestic Production (GDP)
The average contribution of hydrocarbons is 37%. It represented more than 44% in 2000 and has decreased by half over the last few years (23%). This decline has benefited agriculture (11%) more than industry (7%). It is remarkable to note that the share of customs duties remained low and stable throughout the period (2%) despite the quadrupling of the amount of imports over this period.
