Changes in the money supply over the period 2015-2019 will continue to be dictated by changes in currency in circulation, which constitutes the main component (45%). On average, the money supply has grown by 0.5%, which has helped to contain inflation at fairly low levels over the same period. The stagnation of quasi-money at an average contribution of 30% reflects the difficulty of dematerializing means of payment.
